The Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Caregiver Support Program (CSP) is committed to ensuring caregivers are recognized as essential partners in the health care of the Veteran in their care. CSP aims to engage and empower caregivers as partners by fostering successful collaboration between the Veteran, their caregiver, and their health care providers. This initiative will not only improve health outcomes for Veterans but build a more compassionate health care system that supports Veterans and caregivers.

What are Partners in Care?

Partners in Care is a system-wide initiative aimed at enhancing Veteran care by fostering collaboration between the Veteran, their caregiver, and healthcare providers, working together as a team to manage the Veteran's health. This initiative recognizes that caregivers play a vital role in the health and well-being of the Veteran, and their involvement in the health care process is essential to ensuring the highest level of care
